Now available in Non-Mag and offered in a variety of sizes,FAST has demonstrated exceptional field performance. Discover its achievements so far below:
FAST Technology contributes to enhanced drilling performance
Application
In a previous well, the 12-1/4” drilling BHA came out significantly worn, delivering poor drilling performance and increased cost associated with the severe damage observed across the BHA.
The revised RSS BHA included a 12-15/32” FAST String Stabiliser Reamer and a 12-1/8” FAST Non-Mag ILS.
This new BHA drilled 8387’ to section TD in one run, whilst meeting all directional requirements delivering a 3°/100 maximum DLS.
There was dramatic reduction in BHA wear which in turn resulted in a significant 90% improvement in the overall planned ROP for the section.
Identical performance was observed on the subsequent planned sidetrack where the BHA drilled to 40° inclination.
- FAST tools are in gauge
- FAST tools are rerunnable
- No repair charges
- All directional requirements met
- Low vibration events recorded
17½" STABILISER REAMER
Application
During a high-profile HPHT project in the UK CNS, the client was looking for a high quality well bore to allow an extensive string of 14”-13 5/8” casing to be in run without incident. Only two FAST Stabiliser Reamers were used on this four well project with more than 2,100 recorded rotating hours.
Well 1
FAST 1: 14,316ft drilled and reamed in three BHA runs.
FAST 2: 4,119ft drilled and reamed in four BHA runs.
Formation: Tertiary to Upper Cretaceous.
Well 2
FAST 1: 18,646ft drilled and reamed in four BHA runs.
FAST 2: 15,418ft drilled and reamed over three BHA runs.
Formation: Tertiary to Upper Cretaceous.
Well 3
FAST 1: 15,718ft drilled and reamed in three BHA runs.
FAST 2: 19,513ft drilled and reamed in five BHA runs.
Formation: Tertiary to Upper Cretaceous.
Well 4
FAST 1: 23,297ft drilled and reamed in four BHA runs.
FAST 2: 17,494ft drilled and reamed in two BHA runs.
Formation: Tertiary to Upper Cretaceous.
8½" Stabiliser Reamer
Application
The client wanted to replace an underperforming roller reamer. The tool was to work at 40 Degrees and hold tangent on RSS through the Triassic reservoir while drilling under MPD conditions. Two tools drilled and reamed a combined total in one well of 2,828ft in 178.4 rotating hours.
Well 1
FAST 1: 1,423ft drilled and reamed in 118.6 rotating hours
FAST 2: 1,405ft drilled and reamed in 59.8 rotating hours
Formation: Tertiary to Upper Cretaceous.
6" Stabiliser Reamer
Application
The client required a tool for a UK SNS development project. Wellbore quality was critical in the 6” hole section to allow an extremely tight tolerance completion to be run. One tool drilled and reamed a total 27,285ft in 631.2 rotating hours on the four wells.
Well 1
FAST 1: 10,023ft drilled and reamed.
Formation: Permian sandstone.
Well 2
FAST 1: 8,676ft drilled and reamed.
Formation: Permian sandstone.
Well 3
FAST 1: 6,036ft drilled and reamed.
Formation: Permian sandstone.
Well 4
FAST 1: 2,550ft drilled and reamed.
Formation: Permian sandstone.
