This peer-reviewed paper documents the first GCC deployments of FAST in 12-¼″ and 6″ hole sections — a total of 7 runs with various RSS systems. Results confirmed low vibration levels in the majority of runs, zero NPT attributable to FAST, and a 2.4-day rig-time saving in the 6″ section. Casing and lower completion RIH performance was improved in all trials, with the 9-5/8″ casing running almost 2× faster versus the analogue well.
